Requirements and Limitations for RNs and LPNs Performing Aesthetic/Cosmetologic Procedures

At the January 16, 2025 Nevada State Board of Nursing Meeting the Board approved the Scope of Practice Requirements and Limitations for RNs and LPNs performing Aesthetic/Cosmetologic procedures. The practice decision is available on the Nevada State Board of Nursing website or you can download a copy by clicking the link below.  Nurses need to review this information closely to ensure that they are compliant with the scope of practice requirements.  We offer Nevada State Board of Nursing approved training for new skill acquisition as well as annual competency training to keep you up to date.

Annual Competency Requirements

Nevada nurses who perform expanded scope services or skills (skills not learned as part of your basic education program) are required to maintain record of their original training and annual verification of continued clinical competency (NAC632.225 for RNs and NAC632.255 for APRNs).  We offer competency certification!
